10 Thursday Things

Good morning and happy Thursday – this week sure is flying by! It’s so hard to believe that we are already two thirds of the way through September. It seems like the most exciting times of the year are always the ones that fly by when we blink.

I have some randomness to catch up on from the weekend and week so far, so I wanted to share my thoughts on this beautiful Thursday morning.

Speaking of time flying by… one morning I woke up and all of a sudden the leaves were changing colors! I love this time of year, everything looks beautiful no matter if it’s cold, warm, raining, sunny, or blowing like crazy. Now if only Michigan could remember that summer is over and we don’t need the humidity any more 😉

I was inspired by the colors to cook some fall comfort food earlier this week. I made cream cheese chicken chili in the crockpot and remembered why I love it so much. It is so simple! Combine all of these ingredients and cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4. I accidentally bought a can of cream corn instead of regular corn… oops! I used corn from our freezer instead and it worked just fine.

My dream in life is to get a golden doodle. I want a running partner in dog form so badly but my husband is allergic to their hair. We finally found a solution in the form of this adorable dog that doesn’t shed, but now we just have to ‘wait for the right time to get one’ according to my husband. I’m working on my convincing skills 😉 we went to a friend’s house for dinner last weekend and someone had brought over their dog. I was in love!

The BEST flavor of Gatorade… hands down! I don’t know why it is so hard to find. I could drink this stuff all day long.

We found this hidden gem of a restaurant on a lake that is less than 15 minutes from our house and don’t know how we hadn’t found it sooner! It was one of those that we had driven by a million times but never noticed it existed. We will definitely be back!

Last week’s date night was a little less creative than the blanket fort: dinner and a movie. We went to Buffalo Wild Wings because we were both craving wings and then saw the movie Home Again. The movie was pretty good, but not really one of my favorites. I only go to movies for the snacks anyways, and the popcorn, milk duds and slushie did not disappoint.

I have recently developed an obsession with tea and just can’t stop. I used to drink green tea, but just recently stumbled upon chai tea and can’t get enough. This tea combined with a good book in the morning is the best way to start the day.

Went to the grocery store and saw this on sale for $10… could not resist! I love the colors of this season.

Sunshine always helps even the worst moods disappear.

We got our wedding pictures back last week and I am just in love with this picture.

The weekend is so close now, Thursday is always that light near the end of the tunnel! Have a terrific day!
