Cross Training Alphabet Workout

Happy Wednesday! I’ve been trying (and not so much succeeding) to mix it up lately for my cross training workouts, but always seem to wind up doing the same few things. This week I decided to take the control out of my hands and create an alphabet workout! I love doing these types of workouts with a deck of cards and leaving it up to chance, so I thought it would be fun to create one of my own.

The first time I did this I spelled out my full name for the workout, but you can mix it up and spell out a word, just your first name, or anything else, depending on how long you want your workout to be. I also like doing it with the days of the week!

Workout ideas: alphabet workout moves

Here is the alphabet I used:

  • A – 15 burpees
  • B – 30 crunches
  • C – 20 jump squats
  • D – 60 second bridge
  • E – 25 squats
  • F – 60 second plank
  • G – 30 forward lunges (15 each leg)
  • H – 25 leg & hip lifts
  • I – 30 side lunges (15 each leg)
  • J – 50 bicycles
  • K – 25 jump lunges
  • L – 30 toe touch situps
  • M – 20 standing to touches (15 each leg)
  • N – 20 weighted bent leg jack knifes
  • O – 50 jumping jacks
  • P – 20 straight leg jack knifes
  • Q – 50 cross country skiers
  • R – 50 scissor kicks
  • S – 50 high knees
  • T – 50 mountain climbers
  • U – 40 clamshells (20 on each side)
  • V – 40 side leg lifts (20 on each side)
  • W – 40 leg lifts on back (20 on each leg)
  • X – 40 leg lifts on stomach (20 on each leg)
  • Y – 30 supermans
  • Z – 30 double leg lifts
