12 Days of Christmas Workout

Is it just me, or is this holiday season absolutely flying by?! I can’t believe we are nearly halfway through the month, let alone the fact that today marks just 12 days until Christmas. 12 days! These last few weeks of the year always seem to be the busiest. The holidays are filled with plenty of parties, treats, desserts, and time indoors. All of these activities leave me with little motivation for intense workouts. To combat that low motivation I’ve started creating workouts that I look forward to – like this Christmas workout.

As the holidays approach, I thought it would be fun to share a themed workout for the season. This 12 Days of Christmas workout features 12 moves that hit all areas of your body for strengthening and some serious calorie burning. I love fitting in workouts by the Christmas tree while watching a movie, and am excited to add this workout to my routine!

This workout fully encompasses the classic song, “the 12 Days of Christmas”. Start out by completing the first move once. Move on the second move, completed twice, and then add the first afterwards. Next, complete the third move 3 times, second move 2 times, and first move once. Continue adding one move and then working your way backwards. The final round will look like: #12 twelve times, #11 eleven times, #10 ten times, #9 nine times,  etc., all the way down to one.

I’m so excited to try out this workout! What starts out as a seemingly simple workout will leave you sweating out all the holiday treats.
